Recipe #5: Chip Salsa (MASS QUANTITIES)

I decided that for this post, I'd write about such a  ridiculously large recipe that it would be near impossible for someone like me to recreate this without the means (and money) to buy this much food. Here it goes! How to make about 3 gallons of Salsa!
Great for parties or get-togethers!

(Prep Time:15 minutes       Cook Time: 30 minutes       Serves: many hundreds, months' supply)

Ingredients:
  • 3 6lbs cans of peeled Tomatoes
  • about 3-5 lbs of Jalapenos
  • 1.5 ounces of Garlic
  • 2 ounces of Cilantro
  • 1 ounce of Mexican Oregano
  • 3/8 cup of salt
Tools:
  • Blender
  • Large Spoon
  • Large Knife
  • Can Opener
  • A large container for storage
  • Lots of Chips
Direction:
  1. Extract all of the tomatoes (no juice) and blend them for 3-5 seconds at medium power, the pout into a large container
  2. Blend 2 can of tomato juice and Jalapenos at medium power and pour into container
  3. Blend a half can of tomato juice and garlic at medium power and pour into container
  4. Add the rest of the juice, salt, Oregano, and Cilantro into container
  5. Mix vigorously
Tips:
  • Realize this is all a joke, you can scale down the recipe proportionally to serve a small bowl's worth. Unless you plan on throwing a party for 150+ people, I would not suggest making this quantity of salsa
